NEMA Guidance for Hurricane Hermine

Torrential rains and widespread flooding are expected throughout Virginia as a result of Hurricane Hermine.  The storm is expected to continue moving northeasterly throughout the day with impacts from the storm continuing through next Wednesday.  Power outages and downed power lines should be expected.

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has the information and resources you can rely on before, during and after a storm.  This includes tips for preparing your home and workplace, electrical safety during a storm and guidance on restoring your electrical systems affected by wind, rain or flooding.  Be prepared, have a plan, and stay informed.
