On May 11-13, the Jack Proctor Virginia Building Code Academy (JPVBCA) conducted the dry run of its three-day Virginia Rehabilitation Code Technical Training. An invited panel of code experts representing a variety of localities from across the state attended as students and evaluators while our anticipated instructional team taught the class for the first time. The valuable feedback gleaned from the process is already being incorporated into the program for delivery to a live audience at the course pilot on June 28-30. DHCD is going to great lengths to ensure the program is accurate, engaging and applicable for code officials and plan reviewers, as well as others in Virginia’s code enforcement community. JPVBCA is very excited to release this program into its ongoing training schedule with seats available in the November class.
