At their regular meeting held on August 21, 2013 at the Cooke’s Corner Office Complex, the members of VBCOA Region VII presented a high-voltage safety demonstration for their members. The demonstration was not only interesting, but highly relevant. For anyone interested, Dominion has posted the entire demonstration on YouTube and you can view it here:
The demonstration included examples of items and what happens to them when they come into contact with a high-voltage line, including aluminum ladders, tree limbs, mylar balloons and a hot dog, with that being the closest they can come to a human appendage. Below are photos from the event.
